My engine lid info is based upon pics of the Syncro 1.8T swap. I don't know the Syncro, but it may be that the stock position of the Syncro drivetrain allows for a shorter engine lid modification. Still. Eyeballing the 1.8T, it looks shorter than my ABA. (no pesky cross flow intake) And my apologies for hijacking this thread!
