Hi all. I'm on my 3rd sliding door handle now. <rolls eyes> #2 is cracking near the square bit at end. Chopped and swapped in an '85 handle. Works fine, but..... I need to swap cylinders. Removed the tiny screw but the cylinder won't come out. Tried all my keys, nothing turned it. Either I"m missing the key, or the cylinder is pooched. Is the old one not coming because it's in the locked position? Obviously I'm not completely clear on the mechanics of the slider door lock et al, but it seems to me that not having a key for it shouldn't matter. Once the set screw is out, the cylinder should slide out right? Thanks for any help!
