RE: Vanagons and mountain passes and automatics I've climbed quite a few mountain passes in a Westy, both stick and auto. A bunch in the last few days in an auto. Pull it back to second gear, you'll be running about 45-49 MPH, sit back and enjoy the view. With the stock WBX engine, stick or auto, it's about the same, you get to stay in the truck lane and play with the big boys. |
