A lot of runs good in one state (cold or hot) and not in the other goes back to the temp2 sender. This has been true with my 1.8, 2.1 and the '91 Jetta engine. It might be the sender or the wires or the connector but often it's something to do with that sender. I would at least check the electrical connector first thing for this hot/cold run or start problem. Rob becida@comcast.net
