Warning: Measure the heater before relying on the template from Propex! Karl and I found the template was off by about 1/8 inch. You can see the discrepancy pretty clearly here:

Since I had removed my fridge, Karl re-used my existing fridge fitting, which I had capped with the cap that came with GoWesty's fridge removal kit. Here, you can see the fitting with Karl's homemade pressure gauge hooked up, and the new line waiting to be trimmed to fit:

That's the traditional way. That's how I tested the GoWesty cap. (I never did get it to seal completely!) Obviously not many Vanagons explode after using the traditional soapy water check.

Karl uses an electronic tester, which is WAY more sensitive than soapy water. Similar to this:
