Using 4.09 final drive, 2.71/1.45/1 gears (FFA and NG trannys):

45 in 3rd is ~2500 RPM. 55 in 2nd is about ~4400 RPM. These are the same as the numbers I previously gave for a 4 speed manual (ACW) shifting between 3rd and 4th. So, even though the basis for the numbers changed, the results and conclusion are unchanged.
