The biggest problem I see with that location is how to get the heat ducted to the cabin. If your purpose is to heat mainly the bed area then it would be fine. Under the newer fridges or somewhere near the floor is more optimal. I like Ben Huot's idea of placing it on the floor behind the passenger seat and making an enclosure, too. But losing a shoebox-sized spot under the rear seat seems pretty minor - wherever you place it you still lose the same amount of space.
