Well, poor Grover (my '90 Carat) has a major problem. The plastic coolant "manifold" that attaches to the passenger side fire wall failed last Thursday. Before I realized things had gone a foul the engine overheated and asside from the headgaskets, thermostat housing, that coolant peice, a bit of wiring, and a melty fuel line - I suspect the heads are shot as well. Trying to work things out right now to get him repaired and back ont he road.

That being said my friend Tim is letting me borrow his '85 GL, Rerun, for the time being (because Grover is my daily driver). It so happens that Rerun was my first Vanagon. It was kind of nice driving that bus again - and as the subject line says, it is kind of like an old pair of favorite jeans. It was comforting - espescially since I haven't been a real happy guy since Grover took ill.

-- Thanks,

Jeff '90 Carat (Grover) '86 (We call this one Parts) '78 Bus (Melissa) Patty's Bus
