Sorry to hear ol' Grover there is doing poorly. Hope you get Grover back on the road soon.

Something to know about - the 'Good 'Ol Boy's" at Van-Cafe sell a steel distributor/manifold - of their design and manufacture I think - that replaces the plastic one. Mine cracked and I replaced it with the steel one. Works slick as a whistle.It was designed as a universal unit because apparently Volkswagen used several different distributor/manifold types and it's difficult to know just which one to order. The steel universal one Van-Cafe sells solves the problem.
