Good advice Bob. Guess what I just did? It does appear you can get an extra half-gallon or so above the fill tube level, so sealing the tank makes a lot of sense. By the way, I thought that the fill tube doubled as a vent, but when I investigated further I see there is a separate vent tube, which I believe connects up to the utility port. So, I learned a bunch about my water tank today! See what you started Rocket? Thanks again Bob!

Replace the grommet that those wires go through, seal the surfaces between the grommet and tank hole with clear silicone, and your leak is done. Too many volks that do and have been filling their water tanks in this manner since the 90's that don't have leaks for this to be normal/standard. bob
