My engine lid info is based upon pics of the Syncro 1.8T swap.

I don't know the Syncro, but it may be that the stock position of the Syncro drivetrain allows for a shorter engine lid modification. Still. Eyeballing the 1.8T, it looks shorter than my ABA. (no pesky cross flow intake)

And my apologies for hijacking this thread! Back to your regular programming...... ;)
