It should take 5 minutes, if that.

Those axles in the red and blue boxes, if that is what it is, need
better padding in the box to keep the axles from sliding around so much.
They use a universal box with a weak cardboard insert that doesn't do
the job so well.

I got a couple of those axles this week and all 4 joints were in loose
parts so I put them back together. It is a bit tricky if you don't
understand them.
