I-I hadn't considered that you were looking out for me. You are, of
course, absolutely correct to point out the pitfalls and dangers ahead.

On the other side, we just got back from a 2-night camping trip at lovely
Little Cultus Lake (Deschutes N.F.) and if we had not brought the solar
panels & cables I would not have been able to take the opportunity to set
the solar controller to "equalize" and give my deep cycle battery some
much overdue TLC. Kept the battery topped off, too, which is handy when
you are keeping more than food cold in the Norcold: I also had some
vancomycin iv drip medication that needs refrigeration.

Having said that, my thanks to Mrs Squirrel for doing the majority of the
work to get us set up and take care of camp while I struggled around on
one leg.

The van ran like a champ, and though we were surprised when it dropped to
40F inside the van on the first morning, we were well-prepared the second
night with warm shirts to keep our shoulders warm.
