I saw a Nat. Geo special on TV long ago. Polar bears near Baffin Bay(?) maybe. Anyhow, they'd built a 'habitat' for the photographers and the bears were supposed to 'get used to it' and ignore it after a while. But the bears saw the photogs go inside, somehow..Anyhow, they became hungry and sat round outside the big box of photographers, waiting for lunch...Sat out there for days...Like they do around a seal hole in the ice, I guess. Then they started bashing at the doors...standing up on their hind legs like boxers and punching the box of men... Pretty spectacular footage...the guys finally got out by being rescued by a big snow cat. They did mention that Polar bears do consider everything alive a food source...Prey...I bet those fellas had to change their long johns after that...
