>> For our aging road divas, I'm sure volks have the minimum support kit they keep always available in their diva...er van. What's in yours? Duct tape, WD40 and what else? <<
#1 is a Native American mandela. The closest I could find to mine is http://www.nativeamericanindians.net/site/752102/product/PD-MW03 . That keeps the super powerful breakdown spirits away and has worked for me for many years. (I was at a Limbo event in RI this summer and the host was the first person in many years to recognize it as a Mandela and not a dream catcher...) #2 bottle jacks since in the NE your jack points are rusty and you'll need to call AAA at 9 PM at night in the middle of Mystic, CT just to jack up your van. (Mandela's do not protect from small mishaps on your journey.) #3 cell phone. #4 a minimum of all metric wrenches up to 23mm. #5 screwdrivers, allen wrenches, vice grips, hammer. #6 definitely some of this stuff: http://www.rescuetape.com/?gclid=COfGrbb13ZwCFQJD5godm3iDJA to a hose if it breaks. #7 "emergency" pack of cigarettes under the drivers seat in case I have a major breakdown. I'm ex-smoker for the last 20 years I'm still dying to break open that pack. The mandela makes sure the pack stays un-opened. Bryan |
