Just spent 6 days in Maine. 3 Vanagons sittings. 2 were local beaters and one out of state Westy. I was driving one of my Syncro SVX Carat vans.....needless to say I had to talk Vanagon often. People know about these vans, but rarely see them. dylan   ________________________________ From: David Beierl <dbeierl@ATTGLOBAL.NET> To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Sent: Wednesday, September 2, 2009 7:56:45 PM Subject: Re: Vanagons and part At 04:46 PM 9/2/2009, Scott Daniel  - Turbovans wrote: >we must live in different countries or something ..... >cause vanagons are *ALL OVER THE PLACE* ...... We certainly do, salt vs nonsalt at the very least.  These days driving around Providence I see one every few months.  I just took a 600-mi round trip into Maine and a 1500 mile one into southeastern Ohio, and saw zero vanagons and zero buses. But they were always expensive and never a popular vehicle in market-percentage terms.  Remember how VW kept changing their mind about bringing in the T4s?   -- David Beierl - Providence RI USA -- http://pws.prserv.net/synergy/Vanagon/ '89 Po' White Star "Scamp"
