Good thing to check. My mechanic and I found bad outer bearings on both sides, in addition to the wheel hub being eroded beneath the race, with the race actually moving around inside the hub (about 3mm play!

Van has no steering wheel feedback for the first time in several years.

 I put in new wheel bearings 2 years back, > and went through the whole song and dance then to carefully torque > them.  Is it possible they just need to be tightened down again?
