Gilles,

Ask yourself...what is this van worth to you? No rust? Clean interior? On a scale of 1 to 20? Any features? - wired for two batteries?, furnace?, great sound system?, all the electical components work? What doesn't work...other than the motor, what needs replacing? Shocks, brakes, steering, alignment, wheels, tires...?. Is there a market demand for Westfalias in your area? Why aren't you plopping in a subie or other foreign motor let alone a rebuilt wbx...does the dead motor come with the van?

If the body is pristine, the paint still shines, and the supporting parts noted above are in good condition - meaning they still have life and you live in the Pacific Northwest - then you most likely could get between $2,500 to $5,000 for the van.

Give us a little more to go on and the list can probably pinpoint the value a little more accurately.
