Rob is a man after my own heart. Just about exactly what I carry, with a few exceptions. I like the home depot see through plastic case for the tools. I could change the head with just what is in it... I've done it (diesel). I don't carry anything larger than a 19mm, and I carry a sawed-in-half 13mm in case I need to change the clutch slave. Outside of this kit, which includes three 3" extensions, a 12" extension and a universal joint coupler, I carry the dial indicator, adaptor, metric feeler gauges and other tools it would take to re-time the diesel engine. Also a patch of sandpaper for cleaning terminals and surfaces.

The two handiest items of all are the 10mm and 13mm ratcheting box wrenches.

And I never go anywhere without a stick of permatex gas tank fixit putty, in the camper anyway. I holed a tank six years ago, and this stuff does the job even with diesel streaming out.

The only parts I carry with me are a spare for the early style slider handle and a diesel water pump and spare belts.

Jim
