317, (1) cotter pin  - $45.90.   AND, you had better check  the length of the
spacer as it is of critical importance > Spacer, rear wheel  bearings, 42.8
mm long, 211 501 281 E  - $39.95.  The price is  for the ones I have in
stock.  They were still available from VW last time  I ordered them.  I have not
checked for awhile so status may have  changed.  I sometimes install a
grease fitting in the hub but it's not  for everyone.  You NEED to have the
brake drum off when pumping in grease  so to see if the seal pops off and gets

that axel nut is 360 ft.  lbs, just in case you did not know that.  Must be
tightened with all wheels  on the ground.
