Hi Bernie,

That's nothing new. Elsewhere on the continent that kind of dealer
behavior started many years ago.

If you've been on this list for long then you know that there are
solutions to almost any problem. But since they are not the kind of
solutions that fit well into the business model of a modern VW
dealership, the dealership would rather not have to deal with the issue.

If someone wants to drive a Vanagon, they should be willing to accept
that they won't get much in the way of dealer support for that decision.

For the kind of customer who asks the dealer what to buy, the dealer
answered correctly. YMMV.
