I've had the Unity spotlight in use for a year already, but I want to get it right so that on really dark nights in the Outback of wherever, I can use it continously, without worry of an electrical fire or a dead battery. Used with along my two KC daylighters and my euro pattern halogen headlamps, I can really begin to light things up.. Having that thin very strong beam coming from the roof allow you a long 'throw'..

One more idea I've had is to mount a 'masthead' strobe, yacht-type... somewhere on the van as an 'intruder' chaser. I think one of those with a button or switch you could reach from your bunk would be good for peace of mind...If someone comes around in the dark of night and starts messing with the outside of the van while you are inside..you could just touch off the strobe and probably startle the guy away. That is if the dog is too sleepy to eat the intruder or you are in an urban stealth situation... Don Hanson
