sounds like you real experience there Dylan.
regarding 'flimsy plastic tabs that break easily' .............the power
window switch holders, that clip into the door panel .....
those break if you even look at the funny, or almost. Be extra careful with
those. There's no repair that I've found, other than let it hang out of the
door panel dorkily, or get the right new or good used part, if those tabs
break.

Jeff,
7 out of 10 times a non working power window has been caused by the wiring
harness rubbing in the hinge area of the door. The wires get weak from being
flexed and the harness was too short to begin with, IMHO.
The rubber boot must be cut to gain access to the area they break while in
the van or remove the entire harness and pull the boot back with the harness
on a work area.
Visually check each wire and than test with a meter.
Switches are a easy test with a meter.
Motors too.
Check your grounds behind the fuse panel and clean all of them while in
there.
If you have not pulled a power window regulator before....take your time.
Any pulling or aggressive handling of the regulator will surely break the
flimsy pastic tabs that hold the wires in place that physically move the
glass.
Sometimes they can be saved and riveted back in place, but it depends upon
where thery have broken.

OK, gang since my mind is on repairs.
Right after Buses of the Corn my driver side window quit working. Passenger
window works fine.
I admitedly haven't done any checking yet - just curious what the general
consensus is as to if it's more likely to be wiring, the switch, or the
motor.
When I press the switch the interior lights dim slightly as normal - like
it's doing it's thing - I kinda suspect the motor.
I know it's the kind of question that could go many ways - just curious
where to look first :) Thanks.
