I discovered "Rescue Tape" last Friday at the Port Townsend Wooden Boat Festival (WA State). They had a sales/demo booth and were offering a "show special" of three 1"x 12' rolls for $20. They also had some larger (wider and longer) rolls but I've forgotten the prices for the larger rolls. Colors were blue, green, yellow, red, black, white and clear.

The packaging includes the following:

Made is the USA

Rescue Tape is an internationally registered trademark of Harbor Products Inc. Carson City NV USA (887) 847-2628 / (702) 953-0968 www.rescuetape.com

I was impressed enough to buy 3 rolls.

The stuff has been in common use in marine circles for at least a decade, but in Standish Napa had never heard of it, nor had Advanced or VIP. I bought that roll at a Pilot? truck stop in CT? West Marine undoubtedly carries it in several colors, but the Rescue Tape is somewhat wider than I remember the marine stuff being.

Keep it clean and stretch it minimum 50%, 100% better. $10 for a decent roll.

Yours, David
