Hence the reason I have mentioned a few times in the past about fabbing up some brackets and mounting standard extruded aluminum fuel rails.

This would eliminate the fire hazard and give you unlimited options and great prices for fuel injectors.

Unfortunately the amount of work involved will shelf this idea until the factory rails get old enough to fail at a high enough rate to warrant action.

Are the factory rails available new?

I must be lucky then, as I've never seen one of those caps rusted in the slightest way. So their purpose is to direct fire, when they fall off from rusting, forward, rather than aftward ? Very clever.
