FWIW Waeco makes a side sliding track on which it's top loading 12V fridge can mount, so with a LOT of cabinet modification, a top loading fridge could be installed in where the Dometic fridge was while taking up a good chunk of space from under the sink.

A top-opening fridge won't work in the original fridge cabinet.
