Hi Scott,

Really? Those spring clamps don't loosen off over time, or strip out like the worm-gear clamps. Yes, they are a PITA to work with, but I've never seen one fail. I do carry worm gear clamps in my toolbox as insurance though, as they can be used on a wider variety of diameters.
