Tony, look up "Vanagon Syndrome" in the various sources you searched. Many waterboxers exhibit this drivability problem when the Air Flow Meter is worn. When the wear is relatively minor, the meter can be adjusted to help, but eventually it needs to be replaced. It's expensive.
