Hey Jeff,

I recently replaced the coolant distributor in my '86 manual trans and I'll give you my advice if you would like it.

My coolant distributor needed replaced after the water pump went out while we were going 65mph and overheated the coolant in the rear of the bus. My coolant distributor developed a minor crack which would leak when the van was running. To take the guess work out of ordering (and for the positive attributes of stainless steel), I ordered the universal junction from Van Cafe (http://www.van-cafe.com/home/van/page_984_897/universal_2.1l_stainless_steel_junction.html). Although it is triple the price of the plastic version, I am more than happy with the quality and ease of installation. It comes with a plug and barb that can be installed depending on your van.

Hope this helps, Andrew
