I have heard of people replacing those plastic "rails" with billet aluminum ones. I was thinking of doing this on mine when I replaced the fuel lines, but by the time all the fittings were accounted for it did not really seem to be worth the expense. Though I do have a little bit of worry about those plastic rails, since plastic has a tendency to get brittle with age.
