Sorry! I said that wrong.

There are three different coolant distributors all with the same part number. That is where the confusion is. Why VW did that I don't have a clue. But the only way to be sure of what you have is to pull the one you have, then compare it with what you are ordering. You can't go strictly by the part number. The metal unit from Vancafe resolves this issue - plus being steel it is less likely to give problems in the future.
