I have in my SMALL one man band operation here in Almonte about $50,000 of inventory directly related to Vanagons. Why do I do such a crazy thing ? Good question eh ? Because I'm a little bizarre to be sure, and ta da, my customers know they can bring their van here and it won't sit here waiting for parts while the short summer they get to use it in dwindles by. AND, ta da, I don't' have a yard full of Vanagons sitting around waiting for parts to show up. BUT, I bet I could invest that $50,000 elsewhere and make a better return, well, maybe not these days ! Maybe, just maybe Vanagon parts are the NEW good investment ! Man, who started this thread anyways ?

If they don't then he really is not passing parts on at cost, he is absorbing a loss generated by keeping this money tied up at no return week after week.
