I met Warren, too, at BBTB 2009 at Lake Havasu. He seemed to take a particular interest in my homemade camper conversion; he liked the queen-size-plus bed and the extra room without all the Westy equipment. In fact, he just climbed right in and stretched out (all 6' 9" of him) and tried it out, made himself at home! It was an honor to have a "legend" take 5 minutes to check out my ride. By the way, I was similarly honored to have finally met two other Vanagon "legends", Maggie Dew and Larry Chase. Good times those Vanagon events. He was very supportive while I was in the process of converting A.B. to a Subie-Westy back in 2004. He joked with me that when I first started posting on the Subaru-Vanagon list, he thought it odd that there was a "guy" named Maggie out there. He has helped so many people - and will be missed.
