Hi Jamie,

The rear shocks aren't too bad. I didn't even have to jack up the van to get to them. I say spray some PB Blaster on the bolts a day before (or at least just before) you get wrenching. Two bolts, a bottle jack to push them into place, and you're on you way. (at least that's how it went with my 91 GL)

As for brand...yikes...a loaded topic. :) I have KYB's (the white ones) on the rear. I had Bilsteins, but one blew out after a year or so I went with something else.

I'll let others chime in about the brakes, as I've yet to tackle this duty. But my time is coming...I will say this, save the money and do it yourself, if that's possible...
