Just wanted to chime in...professional advice is worth something.  If I stop
at a shop and ask a question, 9 times out of ten I buy lunch.  If I pay to
have some work done, I realize it is not just the time but the expertise and
the subsequent relationship that is built. Everybody has got to make a buck
and techincal knowledge should be recognized.  If allowed, I have no problem
paying the labor again if the part is not theirs and it fails.  Gotta say
though, it is hard to find that special someone. My .02.
