More important, regardless of wire colors, is do you want to run the power for through those lights directly through the stock back-up light switch on the side of the transmission ? I would not. I would use a relay triggered by the stock back up light switch, so the extra load of those lights isn't carried by the back up light switch.

there are various ways to do that, but that's what I'll say for now. Scott
