A suggestion:

It is my hope someone will take on the project of getting the Vanagon
tapes and transferring to disk to be treated much like our treasured
ETKA. I suggest this because I doubt these tapes will ever be used again
in the auto industry and could be of tremendous use to the likes of
Vanagon hobby/owners. With the passage of time this sort of material
will suffer damage and deterioration and eventually become useless
unless someone makes the effort to deal with it.

Granted, these are copyrighted materials - but for personal use  only
and not for any profit connected effort - just about anything can be
copied. Check with your local library and see what you can do in that
regard.
