Some of us baby boomer types have to remember how old we are :) Two people in my local VW club, Tracy V'dub Club, were born in 1972, and it kind of stunned me when we were talking the other night. They missed the intense summer of watching the political conventions, and the beginnings of Watergate - those are burned in my brain. Also, I imagine the park people are much more used to dealing with the big RVs so that's what they automatically ask. I will say that most young people I encounter know what a VW bus is, and in fact are usually intrigued and enthuastic about seeing one/having one, but that may be a by-product of being in Northern California and the kids are probably exposed more to the sight of them (and affiliated culture).
