I was given the same message when I had an alignment done at my last tire rotation. L.S. told me that they couldn't get the thing to specs, and that the rig would require some front-end work. So I'm about to have mine diagnosed while I'm on tour in California. Mine is wearing the front tires on the inside, also.

William,

My 84 has the same issue, and when I brought it in for an alignment last year after changing the front PS rack, they indicated that the negative camber was 1.5 degrees out of adjustment, and could not be corrected beyond that without some major front end work.
