Hey Steve.  Thanks for the photos.  Yep, that's what mine looked like in a
former life.  Now it has three-sides popup windows, some sort of fractal
disintegration of the paint job, dents (all supplied by the PO) rusty poptop
bolts...  :(

Yeah, mine has all kinds of buzzers and lights to go on when I first start
the engine.  Belt buzzer, key buzzer, headlights buzzer.  Tachometer looks
standard, but I've not looked at a lot of Westies, so I don't know for sure.

Heh.  Seat belt buzzer, eh?

I think somebody did some significant fiddling with my '84 Wolfsburg
Westy before I adopted it last May.

I have a seat belt light, but no buzzer.  Haven't checked whether
there's wiring in the latch.

And I don't have a key-left-in buzzer.  Was that in there originally?

I've also wondered about my instrument cluster: I like having a tach,
but do I gather it wasn't stock in '84?...
