the issue I believe is more one of whether the ECU is firing the injectors. your test is valid for that, assuming there is fuel at the right pressure being delivered to the injectors. and it's low tech and no special tools required.

But, if they don't squirt, you don't know if it's lack of ECU signal or lack of fuel under pressure to the injectors, of even if the injectors are clogged ( though all of them being clogged at once would be almost impossible ) .

The fast easy way to check for injector pulse to the injectors is with a NOID light - a little light you plug onto an injector plug - in an instant you know if the ECU is firing the injectors or not. Scott turbovans.com
