It's Friday (Frydaye) and that's a good subject.

I use the Westy as a daily driver and these days, a loaner. We picked up an Adventurewagen last year and it seems to be the favored rig for both traveling and camping. We took it (the A'wagen) to souther Cali last month. Ten days on the road and 3,300 miles all told. Having lived in it and lived in a Westy for more than a week each, (Westy x- country trip from Oregon to Ohio a few years back) we find that the Adventurewagen works best for 'touring' while the Westfalia probably works best for 'camping.' So we have both <smile> because each is a tool for a specific task.

If I could have only one, the Adventurewagen stays....

Camping defined:

Anywhere 'not here.' In the past 365 days that has included about half a dozen state parks (want a list?), a wide spot in the road (http://picasaweb.google.com/jr.arnott/CoastTrip#5373355686981113618 ), a tribal fishing access area and a parking lot or two. Want more pictures? We use it like these folks: <http://picasaweb.google.com/wetwesties >

Anywhere 'not here' is home in a VW camper!

Jim
