I got all the belts off. Thanks so much to Jim Johnston and Jeff Ensing, Jim stayed on the problem with the AC belt and Jeff sent me a mice marked-up picture of where the offending bolt was hiding, deep in the cast bracket. I would have never found it without removing the whole assembly form the car.

One last question, I hope: The water pump pulley assembly is a new-to-me configuration with a freewheeling rear sheave and a front sheave connected to the water pump. I assume that the rear pulley should spin freely and that there should be no play in the bearings. There is about .5 mm play in mine and there is almost as much drag as on the water pump.

Is this normal?
