Established Vendors like Airhead/VWG, Bus Depot, CIP1, GoWesty amongst others sell the quality Denmark made replacement fuel tank ranging from $150 to $175. I have one in my Westy and am preparing to put one in my GL (I've turned into the guinea pig at Airhead/VWG). One of the pricing options to make depends on where you live, as shipping is oversized and extra boxing/packing charges to protect the tank during shipment. If you live on the East Coast or Midwest, then you save in the long run by getting it from Bus Depot. Folks living in the Western part of the US will save by buying one from one of the West Coast Vendors.

These CHEEP Vanagon Tanks are just that. They are poorly assembled/welded and they leak. Airhead/VWG got ahold of one of these tanks and tested it. Stick with the Danish and avoid the aggravation. Know where your tank is made before buying. You get what ya pay for in this instance.
