Near new Eurovan campers trashed like this? Unbelievable. I sold my '94 for CAD22,000 last xmas, and some just trash theirs for a few thou of taxpayers money??? There were also numerous '96 and '97 B3 Passats. I can't help think that some of those were that elusive TDI Wagon that I've wanted to get for the wife. Maybe some aptitude testing for owners of older VW is needed. Don't understand the value of your old VW, and it is turned over so someone more deserving.... Note that (as far as I can see), there was only one Toyota Corolla trashed. Unless there's some misprint that speaks for how dedicated owners of old Corolla's are to their car. (The 90's Corolla is also one of the most reliable cars ever made) Martin ('82 Westy 1.9TD) --- On Mon, 9/28/09, Tim <h2oboxer@OPTONLINE.NET> wrote: > From: Tim <h2oboxer@OPTONLINE.NET> > Subject: Cash for Clunkers Tally > To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM > Received: Monday, September 28, 2009, 9:27 PM > Haven't seen this information posted > here yet, but according to the > cars.gov website: > > 279 Vanagon 2wd were turned in > 9 Vanagon syncro were turned in > > In addition they list > 4 van 4wd > 3 van 4wd (cargo) > 10 van 4wd (passenger) > > Also > > 132 Eurovans were turned in > 12 Eurovan Campers were turned in > > See all the gory details at > > http://www.cars.gov/files/official-information/trade-in-vehicles.pdf > > Sad, sad, sad ..... > __________________________________________________________________ Get the name you've always wanted @ymail.com or @rocketmail.com!
