My Vespa is an LX 50 4 stroke...both EPA and CARB approved....much cleaner = than a two stroke.

Some of that was my usual tong in check stuff. I did leave out the scooter= =2C small moto options tho not on purpose. Is the Vespa a two-stroke? CA = allows 49.9 cc two stroke power. Not particularly clean by nature but clea= n by pollutants per mile compared to vanagons. Certainly a viable alternat= ive. Doesn't beat a bicycle but more time efficient for longer trips.

Move to NYC?? Never! Nice place to visit...wouldn't want to visit. Would lo= ve to live where I could use an efficient public transit system (like most = of Europe) and would have to rely solely on a car. That isn't going to happ= en unfortunately....

However=2C I bought a Vespa 50cc scooter. 90 mpg..my Vanagon Westy gets 19 = mpg. So doing "fuzzy math" if I drive the Vespa for every mile I drive the = Westy=2C then my average mpg is 49.5! So I drive the scooter back and forth= to work...for errands and other short=2C one-person trips. Obviously I won= 't be "scooting" much once the weather turns cold...but its a start!
