Hi John -- you're calling 80% of the intake air "not much?"  At 3000
rpm the total throughput of a 2-liter engine is somewhere around 400
cubic feet per minute.  And it all passes through the fire, so there
will be some oxidation of the nitrogen, just as there is now.
