Subject: Early Vanagon Shift Linkage Available Again!
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed

I had posted that we were working on reproducing the early 80-82 AC and Diesel Vanagon rear shift linkage guide pins. These have been NLA for almost 10 years now. The original run is done! We have reproduced them out of steel and they are superior to the originals. The OE ones had a plastic piece on the end that would hold the guide pin bushing in it. Over time the plastic goes bad and disintegrates. Our new units are all steel so no more trouble prone plastic. We are selling these units for $110 each and we also have new shifter boots and guide bushings available as well. Time to rebuild that rear shift linkage if you have an 80-82 Vanagon. You can see a picture of the new linkage piece here: http://www.vanagain.com/images/251711181.jpg

It is part number 251711181 in our web store. Let's keep these vans going down the road!
