Move to NYC?? Never! Nice place to visit...wouldn't want to visit. Would love to live where I could use an efficient public transit system (like most of Europe) and would have to rely solely on a car. That isn't going to happen unfortunately....

However, I bought a Vespa 50cc scooter. 90 mpg..my Vanagon Westy gets
19 mpg. So doing "fuzzy math" if I drive the Vespa for every mile I
drive the Westy, then my average mpg is 49.5! So I drive the scooter back and forth to work...for errands and other short, one-person trips. Obviously I won't be "scooting" much once the weather turns cold...but its a start!
