Despite the fact that Robert's protest was targeted at me as well as the two or three other electronics geeks, I, too, am impressed with "obscure egg-headery" and give him props.

Talking about tantalum capacitors vs aluminum electrolytics is every bit as pertinent as discussing metal-bearing anti-seize compounds because they both apply to the smooth and reliable running of the Vanagon.
